Your Story In My Life

Dear friends, its night time, but thanks to the clever advancements of technology I can “work” from home. I can’t sleep really, too much running round in my mind. My stomach hurts and I am tired. Tonight I just need to write. Not even sure if I have anything to say, but that’s the joy of blogs, it’s meant to be a journal of whatever comes across the keyboard. It has been awhile since I’ve blogged from the heart.

Truth is, I love my job. I love how I can create something that didn’t exist yesterday. When the day comes to a close and I look back over what challenges I’ve faced, despite those challenges, I passionately love photography.

One of my struggles right now, is defining my style. I know there are endless possibilities when a person walks through my door. I get the joy of picking out how their story is told…..maybe that story is one of loss, like a close uncle with cancer, maybe it’s one of celebration over a premie that now weights 8 pounds, maybe it’s a mile stone of a high school senior, maybe it’s an anniversary, maybe it’s a tragic hurricane, or a precious birthday….maybe it’s my own. As a photographer we recycle ideas that we respect. When we see a portrait we love, we sometimes strive to recreate it, by mixing in a bit of your life and a bit of ours.

I am curious about people, truly intrigued about what makes you…You. I am motivated about my work. Each portrait I create is an opportunity to tell your most recent story. So I don’t want to let you down. My life is photography, my hope is that I can tell your story in my mine.
