A NILMDTS story

This is a true story. One I am not often able to share because I am asked to keep confidential. Some of the most beautiful families I meet as a photographer, also have stories much like this…

I knew from the first time I spoke with the ISJ nurse on a Saturday afternoon, this story would be different, this story is going to change a life. This story has changed my life. The day I met Samuel and those who surrounding him, I truly felt a call on my life to do something more (but that is a post for another day).

My new little niece has arrived

Introducing my new little niece, baby B! (I never put children’s name on my blog) I had a hard time picking a favorite image from the session, but who doesn’t melt over a sleeping little baby? She was such a trooper putting up with her first visit to the studio. She arrived in the middle of the night, a few weeks before Easter!

This little lady joined us for our annual model search to benefit NILMDTS. She was her own shinning star, and I look forward to working with her again. Of the images we submitted to the model search, her image received the most votes and raise the most money to benefit the non profit organization I believe so much in.

This little man is one of the many newborns I’ve recently met at the studio. His is very handsome and slept the entire session! We keep the studio 80+ degrees with little babies, so they can be undressed and still be content.

These images from this English bulldog session make me smile every time I look at them. Pets bring with them so much personality, yet only the voices we give them, these guys had a lot of Character. The final image below titles “just try and make me” one a regional award this past March.

Connected for Life

There is no doubt in my mind that I was meant to meet this precious family. A Few years ago A Mops Promotions brought them to Barnett for the first time, and now today our connections seem pretty endless. I enjoy my time with Jo Ann, the mommy here, from talking about faith, to parenting, to scrap-booking, to how our husbands work 10 feet from one another, I am always smiling at the end of our conversations. This little girl is baby #3 for them, and they are blessed with a house full of little ladies.

The most precious connection is that I own studio lighting that I purchased from Ralph Ritcher a few years back, who was the photographer of Jo Ann’s senior photos. Chances are I am now photographing her children with the same equipment 200 miles away.

Jo Ann is a creative memories consultant, if you are interested in knowing more about scrap-booking supplies.

This Session may be one of my all time favorites. In a few short minutes I was able to bring the bond of father and son forward and create images that brought tears even to my eyes. This full of life little man has a big heart and a great big love for his daddy.
