Blessed

Everyday something wonderful happens, sometimes is harder to see, but when you’re looking and even when you’re not, something great is happening.

I have to share this story of how I was blessed yesterday…..The day was much like all the others, went to work, had lunch with a friend, replied to a few e-mails, chatted with the co-workers etc. Following work, I rushed to michaels to pick up a bit of wedding stuff, made a few phone calls while I was shopping, and then rushed to be to church for the 6 pm confirmation service. When the 7 pm service was over I grabbed up my coat, and gave Luke his jacket and said good night.

But before I could get out the door Mary Kosberg, grabbed my hand, ran me this way to talk about pictures , and this way to talk about cameras etc. Having no idea why I was still there she flung open the door to the fellowship hall(eating area) and Ta-Da all the people I went to New Orleans were there. They had brought punch, and ice cream cakes, and gifts for Luke and I.
I don’t get to see my new Orleans travelers very often (we attend different services) but it was a blessing to have us all together again. I was completely shocked, and moved by their thoughtfulness. They showered us with their blessings of beautiful things to say and special things to use in our new home!

It was my “something wonderful” yesterday, bigger then most days. Having all of those friends and people who genuinely care there, was truly humbling and a blessing in my life.
