Third of July

Prior to Independence Day, my husband has his birthday on the third of July. I thought it would be fun to surprise him this year with a fun little party of family and close friends. I had sent out invites two weeks ago and kept the party supplies hidden from Lucas in our home for a few days.

I invited everyone to join us at the campground, Land of Memories to share a childlike birthday party. We played pin the tail, close pin drop, had a ladder ball toss off, and also had a fun prize winning atmosphere for everyone. My dad grilled some hot dogs and friends brought goodies to pass.

The party went well into the pm for some of us and we swatted mosquitoes by the camp fire. I think everyone had a good time, and Luke took in the craziness of the whole thing well. My favorite part was when his grandparents pulled up, Luke instantly dropped what he was doing and with a big smile greeted them with hugs.
