Family Portrait Scholarship available from Inspired Portrait Photography, Mankato , MN

Inspired Portrait Photography, Mankato MN , is offering a free family portrait scholarship package for one deserving family in the Mankato Community.  The scholarship awarded will be valued $300 (+) in professional photography and finished portraiture.

Applications are being accepted now through October 27th. The Winner will be announced on October 30 ^th , 2008.  The information bellow describes the application process, the qualifications and the reason why Inspired Portrait Photography has chosen to give the portrait scholarship.

School is back in season, sports have begun, and the leaves have started to turn, reminding us that the holidays are quickly approaching. This could mean many different things for your family. I know for many it’s a time to gather up the family for a professional portrait session. These portraits may mark a special milestone, another year passing, or for some it may be simply a Christmas card update for friends and family. I understand personally that times are tough, and for many families portraits are a luxury they may never have.

For some families it is just a matter of choosing a studio and scheduling their appointment each year.  Inspired Portrait Photography understands that not everyone has the opportunity to simply make that choice. Growing up, family portraits were not something my family could afford, and as a child I made a promise I would one day give back to other deserving families that haven’t had the chance to be photographed professionally.

There are a variety of reasons that may prevent families from enjoying a family portrait they dream of.  Because of the rising prices, unforeseen circumstances, and various other hardships, many families are experiencing financial setbacks. Everyone deserves to feel the best they can feel through portraits. Everyone deserves to have a timeless memory captured to share with future generations. Our hope is that Inspired Portrait Photography can help our community be inspired one portrait at a time. .

One scholarship package will include: the session fee for a one hour location session, proofs, one 11×14 wall portrait, gift prints and holiday greeting cards to share with friends and family. Applicants are required to submit an essay (250 words or less) telling us why your family (or the family you are nominating) deserves to receive the free portrait package.  Awards may be based on either financial need or personal circumstances.  Applications are available by calling Sherry Schultze @ 507.381.8007
