BE INSPIRED

Lately I’ve been having an artistic over flow, I feel like there are so many pieces of art I want to create I can’t get them out fast enough. Where are all the ideas coming from that’s what I’ve been asking myself, so I decided to make a list about what I am inspired by, as well as ask you do to the same! WHAT INSPIRES You to do what you do, from creating to just getting out of bed in the morning!?? Let me know!

Sherry is Inspired to create…..

1.    From Children that come into the studio, their honesty and joy, their stories and their fearlessness, they are never afraid of WRONG….they just DO.

2.    Because Of My family , no matter what hardship they are facing, (and with 135+ in my family there seems to always be a hardship,) they face life head on smiling,

3.      In troubled times , nothing motivates me to create the way that I do when I have heard of a tragedy. One can never capture too many memories.

4.   Religion , not just mine, but what others have to say about Christ, about Christians, and about taking up my cross and believing, I am curious why people do not believe or believe something different.

5.    Honesty , there’s a sweetness in people being real, and at the same time a bitter-sweetness in it, I love to tell that story

6.    My dreams , literally when I am sleeping they are quite vivid, and I can describe then in full detail when I wake up, I often think about them all day.

7.    Books , with words or pictures, or both

8.    People who use their time to make a difference in the world . My dream would be to photograph everyone for free just so they can have a chance to feel beautiful, across the seas, and downtown Mankato. There are so many good people in the world that give of their time(which has become such a precious thing) without hesitating, some in particular are my Mom, My aunt Roxy, Kathy Nelson & her family, Lifted, Suzette Allen & her Shine for Him Project, and many many more…..

9. Other Photographers , I debating listing people here too, but EVERY photographer I have ever crossed paths with, had dinner with, traveled to San Antonio and saw Palm Trees with,  worked with, and attended conferences with inspires me, each day.

10.   and Jesus , without him none of this would be possible.
