One step closer to a dream

Monday, July 5th, 2010

I met this sweet gal 4 years ago when I was honored to photograph her senior photos. She came in for this fun session to create the beginnings of a portfolio. Thanks to her aunt and roommate, the three of us created some powerful images. Here are a few from the session

Last week I had the pleasure of working with a Mankato business who had brought in Harmon Killebrew to speak to thier group. I was able to get a photo and a ball signed before he had to leave. Here are a few images from the time I spent with him.

I feel lucky each day to work with people of all ages, all walks of life, you are all super stars and home run hitters to me! I don’t take my job for granted, and I hope it shows in my work that each of you are special to Inspired Portrait Photography

Anniversary notes-a personal Blog

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Lucas and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary on March 22nd. Party of our annual celebration we open up a special folder saved form our wedding date. At our reception we asked guests to seal away a simple  drawing, advice, or special note. Each year we open another envelope with the corresponding year on the envelope.

Here are some of the special things we read this year….

Congrats and have a happy wedding day and life together, from J. Johnson, p.s Santa please give Noah a WII.

Luke, during the toasts today, you said you forgot the win for the head table, because it wasn’t on ”the list”, Then you said ” I think its still my fault” -Remember- it always it, If you say “I’m sorry and it’s my fault, it will always be better in the long run”

Lucas + Sherry Hi you two, If you have not learned how to communicate well, now is the time to learn.

You Must Be Joking

Photography Jokes:

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say,“I could have done that!”

A photographer from a well know national magazine was assigned to cover the fires at Yellowstone National Park. The magazine wanted to show some of the heroic work of the fire fighters as they battled the blaze. When the photographer arrived, he realized that the smoke was so thick that it would seriously impede or make it impossible for him to photograph anything from ground level. He requested permission to rent a plane and take photos from the air. His request was approved and arrangements were made. He was told to report to a nearby airport where a plane would be waiting for him. He arrived at the airport and saw a plane warming up near the gate. He jumped in with his bag and shouted, “Let’s go!” The pilot swung the little plane into the wind, and within minutes they were in the air. The photographer said, “Fly over the park and make two or three low passes so I can take some pictures.” “Why?” asked the pilot. “Because I am a photographer,” he responded, “and photographers take photographs.” The pilot was silent for a moment; finally he stammered, “You mean you’re not the flight instructor?” – Anonymous
