Grandparent Portraits Mankato

I am a big softy for grandparents. Maybe it’s because 3 of mine passed years ago, or because I love to know about the history of how life used to be…slower. I can’t seem to find a single photo of my with any of my grandparents, although I am still looking. In the meantime, I give those images of grand children with their grandparents to you. please don’t hesitate to create these images.

There is no friend who loves, supports and motivates me in business and in life more then this lady. Since we first took sculpture 101 together, she has been my support when the going gets rough. Bless you Kendall and your husband Luke it this year ahead. thank you to Luke for being okay with (and carrying) your rad piece of furniture out in the front lawn to create a few of these Home Sweet Home images.

By certainly accident I told this family to go head and change our the inside clothing choice to their VIKINGS stuff, and my comment got a good laugh, as the oldest boy shouted “yeah right”. This is the 3rd year I’ve created their holiday images and know quite well their wisconsin roots shout “Go Cheese Heads” every Sunday! Thanks guys for allowing me the chance to play, and create these images for you!

Thanks to a referral from my sister-in-law, this beautiful family of four came to play in the studio. It was precious to see the big sister interact with the little brother and the parents kissing on the kiddos.

One Sweet Family of Three

The sweetheart of kindergarten teaching lady just ran a half marathon at the recent Mankato event. I’ve been amazing at her spirit and true will power since I met Angie two years ago. We’ve been friends since we started a volleyball team together a few summers ago, and we gather up each summer to play sand volleyball. I have been hounding on her to bring her son in for sometime. I was happy to meet both her husband and son, it wasn’t until after the session she told me “my husband never smiles”. I think I see a sliver of a smile in there!

Before the Leaves Fell

Looking back and looking ahead

Once in awhile I get to photograph members of my family (my ever growing family of over 125+) and the cousins I played with during my childhood. This is a close cousin of mine, she and I were born the same year and we spent many holidays “on vacation” at each other’s home. It is always a good laugh when we sit down to reminise. Fast-foward to present day, and our two year old toddlers, born just one month apart, they too will get to one day reminise….and hear the crazy things we used to do.

This session had me cracking up, as this little man went running……as most two year old boys do!

Mayo Health Systems Photography Newborn Session

What a blessing a newborn child is, what a true gift. These friends of mine welcomed their second child recently and I asked them if I could be a part of her first days with my camera. I rarely have people turn me down when I offer a free session, so I asked if I could come right to the hospital room. The sun was shinning as I walked into this room and met the new little bundle of joy. If you’re interested in photographing your new baby, I would love to be part of that experience with you. This session involved no fancy lighting set up just beautiful natural light.
