One sweet world

This sweet couple will be exchanging their I do’s this spring and I am thrilled to be working with such a happy couple! They have a couple of the biggest giving hearts I know! They came out to the studio early Fall and despite the battle with the wind we were able to have a great time. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

I met this young man at my very own wedding, who knew….a few years later I am lucky enough to photograph his wedding. This is my precious cousin Amber, (from the twin cities) whom I’ve come to know well through a series of email, face booking and save the date designs. We had a great time walking through Sibley Park in Mankato and laughing at my lame jokes in the studio. This couple will have a wedding at A beautiful catholic cathedral in the Twin Cities, I am looking forward to their amazing day.

How much fun can engagement photos be? They are one of my favorite sessions. I make sure I talk with the couple before the session to encourage them to be relaxed and completely themselves. If this means we have to go golfing or take a long walk, I’m in. Besides creating the traditional images for the newspaper announcement, I photograph images to decorate your wedding day, ex guestbook, centerpieces etc. This session was created at Inspired Portrait & a Mankato local park.

I will be here to help you remember the real, raw emotions of true love. I am smitten to work with couples in the mist of their wedding planning because it can be such an exciting time. This couple will be having a November wedding with family and friends from the Janesville area. This bride is one of 4 of my brides this year that were once photographed by me as a high school senior. I am so blessed to have the honor of continuing to work with them through this exciting time. Congrats you cuties!

This happy couple will take their vows in late July in Waseca, Minnesota. I am please to call the bride friend, and I am thrilled to help her remember her love story through great photography. We were blessed with a perfect spring day for these sunset images. We traveled to the Indian Island Winery outside of Janesville, Minnesota to create these images. Here are a few of my favorites….

Mankato Engagement Photography: Love is in the air

I’ve been working on creating many engagement session for my 2011 couples, here is a session that I had a lot of fun with. The day this couple came to the studio was overcast and even a bit drizzly at times, but we were able to create images outside for them despite the Minnesota weather. They brought with the family pet, and she was a ham for the camera, loved it. Here are some of my favorites.

Our wedding collections include a complimentary engagement session, couple can do in studio and on location. We decided to split this couples sessions to two days and two seasons. Here is a sample of the few images we created this month in studio. When the snow melts and the ball parks open up, we plan to do images on location with them as well. Portraits created on-site and somewhere meaningful to the couple (or family) makes my job as a photographer Inspiring. I can’t wait for spring!

Count the days

Before we know it October will be here (and blessed Fall colors too) and this happy couple will say their “i do’s”. Fall weddings are always bitter sweet for me as my joy for photographing another happy couple is celebrated, the reality of another wedding season coming to an end is realized. I am looking forward to this fall wedding with much excitement. Congrats to this happy couple!

Wedding Bliss

On August 14th one of my coolest gal pals is getting hitched to the man of her dreams…and I am counting down the days. The amazing couple were sweet and invited me to stand with them as a bridesmaid, and not the photographer and I am thrilled. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on the opposite side of the camera at a wedding. As the excitement mounts I revisited a photo session I created for them a month or so back. I may have a hard time containing the excitement for the next few days.
