My friend (and previous co-worker) recently had a baby girl. Like most new moms she’s taken many photos at home of the new baby, but I convinced her, she needed to be some of the photos with her baby girl. Children grow way to quickly. A portrait session with baby and parents is more for the baby then parents, so someday they can look back and see how much they have grown.

Yes, that is correct…Olivia even as an one month old baby she LOVED giraffes, so being the good mommy I keep my eyes peeled for any special giraffes who may need a new home. So a few months ago, Inspired Portrait had a booth at the Pregnant Pause event (for expecting mothers) at the alltel center. My heart melted when I spotted a mommy to be carrying a large gift basket she had won with a stuff giraffe in it. Crazy as it seemed I was I offered her Portrait $$$ in exchange for the toy….and wool-lah, here is her baby boy who enjoyed a photo session on the house, so my daughter can continue her giraffe collection.

Here is another precious newborn. In the mix of all the new little ladies I’ve been photographing, I was able to meet this handsome little man. Its exciting to meet mom(and family) at the maternity sessions and then seem them again when they have a new little one. He was a beautiful little baby, and his handsome older brother was very proud.

This little princess has amazing parents, her daddy is a hard working farmer and mommy a graphic designer. They came by a few weeks ago with this little lady and a few fun ideas for newborn portraits. At that first session (see this post) she wasn’t all that excited to be here, and I encouraged them to try a different day (because we always guarantee satisfaction) to create the images mom had in mind. Here are my favorites from her second newborn session. The image of the feet, wasn’t my idea(I’ll admit that) but it may be one of my favorite baby images ever. I told daddy he’ll need to do this at every milestone session (3,6,9 & 12) so we can watch her grow in a unique way.
