Anniversary notes-a personal Blog

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Lucas and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary on March 22nd. Party of our annual celebration we open up a special folder saved form our wedding date. At our reception we asked guests to seal away a simple  drawing, advice, or special note. Each year we open another envelope with the corresponding year on the envelope.

Here are some of the special things we read this year….

Congrats and have a happy wedding day and life together, from J. Johnson, p.s Santa please give Noah a WII.

Luke, during the toasts today, you said you forgot the win for the head table, because it wasn’t on ”the list”, Then you said ” I think its still my fault” -Remember- it always it, If you say “I’m sorry and it’s my fault, it will always be better in the long run”

Lucas + Sherry Hi you two, If you have not learned how to communicate well, now is the time to learn.

John, His Story

Two weekends past, my home church, Hosanna Lutheran of Mankato, put on a play. This was the first time the church put together something like this with professional lights, sounds, direction etc. All actors were members of the church as was the director. During the rehearsals and the opening night showing, I was able to photograph parts of the play. Here are some of the images from those events.

Story of Love

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

I met Angie this past Fall when she brought her three beautiful kids in for a portrait session.  A few months later I learned of Angie’s mother and her Cancer survivor story. Knowing the value I have in my own mother, I invite Angie and Ellie into the studio for a complimentary session. Here are some of the images created for that session.

If you know of a cancer survivor, or anyone with an illness, I would love to consider creating a precious portrait for them.
