Here is a peak at one of the many high school seniors I’ve had the chance to work with in the last few weeks. Many are scrambling to get appointments before they have to turn in their image to the yearbook staff of his/her high school. The next few posts are a collection of the some of the guys graduating with the class of 2010 this coming spring!
The love that a newborn, unbeknown to him or her, brings into the world is precious. There is a certain silent calm that the soothing of a small child brings into the studio. I’ve always enjoyed photographing newborns. In my past work I was mainly concerned with the child his/herself, but lately have found joy in bringing in mom/dad to the portraits. The size comparison of child to adult results in something very precious. For example this first print with baby fitting snug into daddy’s hands.
Children are beautiful. These boys are a perfect example. All three of them were recently in for their milestone portraits while their older sister(who is school age) went out for breakfast with dad. Last time I photographed them we did a session at their home where they able to show me a cardboard rocket ship and tell me how to get to the moon with it. When they came in for this session, everyone was all smiles, but the middle child was my entertainer for the day, playing peek, dancing and laughing at most all I had to say! Thank you guys for making your Saturday session one to remember.
Model Search: KIDS IN COSTUME
I am currently looking for children in Halloween(or any other dress up clothing) to enjoy a free mini photo session On October 29th or Halloween Saturday Oct 31st, two weeks from now. Each child will receive a free 4×6 from the session. Kids will be photographed individually and possibly with siblings(if time allows). Images will be used in a 2010 Inspired promotional brochure. If you are will to have your children participate in this, please call sherry @ 507.381.8007 We will only being a limited number of these sessions, so call this week (Tue-Fri) to book!
Going on now through Saturday, October 23rd is our fundraiser for the Mankato chapter of Mothers of Preschoolers. The MOPS group is currently selling coupons for a $13 photo session and a finished portrait from Inspired Portrait Photography. You can purchase a coupon by contacting any member of the MOPS group(or go to our contact us page, and I’ll see that someone contacts you), sessions must be booked by the 20th to guarantee a session, and are sold on a 1st come/serve. Sessions are 25 minutes in length, one outfit, and are limited to seven people total & one coupon per family. The money raised from the sale of the coupons $10 will go to the MOPS group of Mankato. Inspired Portrait has donated the sessions and the prints (the $3 is used to cover part of the Inspired materials for the event) in efforts that families in the Mankato area can enjoy family portraits at an affordable price. I look forward to creating portrait of togetherness to decorate home for years to come. After the week’s event is over I’ll be sharing some of the images with you!
