Tuesday, January 27th, 2009My BFF
(best friend forever, without the heart shaped necklace that some BFF have)
…drops everything to have lunch with me
…knows the whole story of my happily ever after
…poses for any photo, any time, anywhere for me, even if it’s just a light test
…relates to my need for a pedicure, often
…introduced me to the pedicure
…always believes in me, and my dreams
…continues to support me, in all my crazy endeavors, long after others have not
…could never understand how much she really means to me
…knows who I mean when i say “Izzy, George, & McSteamy”
…has seen the best and worst of our past job together
…loves the season of Fall for that first sweater purchase
…picks me ups, literally and emotionally
…knows what character I dressed as Halloween 2003, and has photos to prove it
…remembers all the details I look over, or forget
…has one of the biggest hearts I know
…continues to press on, challenge after challenge, no matter where life takes her
…worked side by side with me all through our BFA degrees
…owns just as much jewelry as I do,
…understands when I accidently wear her shoes home, all the the way home
…knows what I’d order at applebee’s
…has a husband with the same name as mine, they married first
…has a million funny laugh out loud stories of the many years we’ve been BFF
Since the first day we met in the Sculpture lab at Mankato State U right up until yesterday, she’s always been my best friend, we enjoyed and suffered a lot together and seperately. And today is just another day in our average grown(ing) up lives, where I wanted to tell you about her, and tell her Thank you, Thank you Kendall for everything, esp the things I can’t blog about!

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009The Bridal Show
Thanks to those of you who stopped to visit with us at our booth last Saturday. Last week was a very full week but Saturday, despite the frigid cold, flew by! I met many brides to be, and swapped love stories here and there. My business is not just about getting paid to photograph your special events, it’s about getting to know people, and helping them make a difference in the world.
I received a card yesterday from a client of mine, she closed the note by saying “thank you for being so compassionate” I never viewed myself in that light before, but I assure you I am building my business of photography on it.
Here are some images from our first wedding show ever. Kendall and I were so grateful for the conversations we shared with new and old friends! Thank you again!
