Nature Walk

Last night Lucas and I took a walk through Lions Park(located on Stadium Drive In Mankato) with the new camera lens(es). Here are a few photos I created, straight out of the camera. It’s my proof that there was a nice day in Mankato, and it was yesterday. Today it rains again, roll up your windows!

Your Story…

Last week Kendall and I sent out a few letters to some of our clients asking them to share with us “their story of Barnett Portrait Studio” We have received a flood of those letters back with stories that have tugged at our hearts. People have shared with us how they have laughed with us, cried over their portraits, and  have been not only satisfied with our portraits, but felt a  personal connection with Kendall and I.

Unsure how people would respond we sent out only a select few letters, but we are always wanting to hear how we have served our clients in the past. We will use the “stories” as well as our clients favorite images to create a book, flyers, website testimonies, to grow and etc. If you are interested and willing to share your favorite story with us, please contact me and I’ll send you all the information! I look forward to hearing about your experiences with Barnett Portrait Studio

We will be share those stories with you soon….stay tuned!

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Something Old
An old  family tradition for my family is to get together over the Memorial  Day weekend, have a BBQ, camp and play family games. This year we are heading to the Redwood Falls campground to be together and remember someone dear our family lost this year. My uncle Frank(mom’s brother) passed away this past December only 54, he died of cancer. Our family is getting together to plant a new tree in his honor in the park where he had camped with our family many times before.

Something New
My husband ordered me(us) a new gift I have been eager(an understatement) to purchase for a long time now. Yesterday he found a deal on a 2.8 Canon Lens(tell you more on it later) I’ve been eyeing and a Marco lens he’s been eyeing. I tried to remain calm yesterday after he told be ordered them, but the truth is I did I little dance today when I got to work. I tried to play it cool, but I’m way pumped for it’s arrival!!!

Something Borrowed
Tory Wunder is a vet at The River Hills Pet Clinic here in Mankato. She has been featured in the Women’s Inc Magizine talking about pet care. Her next two articles will feautre kitten care and adult care. Tory’s article required that she have some imagry with the animals she cares for….so she borrowed “Jelly Bean” to do the photo shoot with her and they came to visit us yesterday morning!
