Home Sweet Mankato part #1

We flew back into Minneapolis late yesterday afternoon just in time to enjoy the windy weather that is Minnesota! The tempature here was close to the temps we enjoyed in Orlando (68-84) so rumor has it we brought some of the sunshine back here with us! Yeah!

I am right back at the computer filing senior portrait orders and getting ready for the annual Minnesota Professional Photographers Convention I will soon attend(held on the 27-30th in Fargo). We had a wonderful relaxing time in Flordia, but I am excited to be back here at the studio as well.

There were many chances to take photographs, so many so I’m still sorting through them so I can find a few to share! Stay tuned for more!

Vacation

Well the suitcase is packed, the maps have been printed, the camera(s) has a charged battery and we are up before the sun…yeah vacation! According to my clock its 3:44am, wow I don’t recall the last time I was up at this time! Lucas and I are flying out this morning to go on our honeymoon in Orlando. We plan to visit Sea World, Universal Studios, Ride in a Hot air Balloon(compliments of all the cool people I work with) get lots of sun and relax for a week.

Since working at Barnett photo(for 6 years) this is the first time I’ve taken an entire week off for a vacation. (Although last year I did take a week to volunteer in New Orleans) So I’m a bit nervous about going away, but I know Kendall has it all under control!

Keep us in your prayers as we travel, and I will be back in the Studio on the 16th. I will have loads of photos to share with you when we get back! Have a great week! (Uh oh luke just told me my suitcase is 57 lbs I gotta run and downsize…quickly!)

Beautiful Saturday

                       People have been coming and going in the studio all day today. Everyone seems to have a little more skip in their step, I assume to the great weather! The streets are full of bike riders and strollers out for the first walk/ride of the season. Truth is, it’s been rough stuck inside! I am done photographing in the studio today, but trying to get ahead for my big week out of the office, so staying at the shop to work a bit. (Yes, blogging counts as work, JK)

Liz, Todd and Rachel were back in the studio today for a spring family photo shoot. Rachel (one year) was as happy as can be, and ready to giggle at 9 am! Here’s a few from their session.

I also got to visit with sweet Donna about her travels, her thoughts and her family this afternoon. She was precious to chat with. We talked about the history of Barnett Photo, how it’s changed, and in ways how it remains the same. We agreed that small town business, family owned are a special way of life. Thank you Donna!
