The Wedding Part 2

    At the wedding reception we set up a background, a camera, a light and encouraged people to get crazy in the backroom! Here are a few of my favorites. Luke and I intend to make a scrap book from the pictures, but we’ll be happy to share them with you too! I have to shout out many thanks to Kandi, a co-worker and good friend who stepped up and took charge behind the lens. You rock! Thank you girl! Also my sincere thanks to some of my favorite photographers, who were in attendance to make people laugh, as well as step in to take down all the equipment!

Snap Shots from the Family

There are many many photos from the big day, my inbox has been flooded with them! Here are a few from parents, friends, family etc. Photos from the photo booth we had set up are on there way too! Stay tuned! It was the first wedding I’ve been to where I didn’t take one single picture, it was weird!

Sherry Lynn Schultze and Sherry Lynn Randall, Whom I had never met before, but I was named after her 27 years ago, She surprised us by attending the wedding, and brought my dad to tears!

My Cousin(more like a brother) Joe, and Usher teaching Derrick some moves, or on second thought maybe it’s the other way around?

Married!

Yes! We did it! I can’t believe how fast it went! I am no longer Sherry Sell, but Mrs. Schultze! The day was perfect! I am back at work today trying to tie up some loose ends before Lucas and I head to Orlando on April 8th for the honeymoon! I will tell you all about it soon!

A Tid Bit on Kendall

It’s the middle of the weekend, and seven days away from my wedding, wow, can you believe how fast the days go by? Kendall is in Mexico for the week, on a much deserved vacation with her husband Lucas, and his parents.

Did you know Kendall is not only my employee, she is my BFF(best friend), long time college art buddy and my matron of honor is my wedding? We graduated from MSU together in 2004, and dove into full time jobs across town from each other. Next time you are in the studio, ask us how we met, it’s an interesting story! Kendall has been helping me out, with all her heart, for over a year now.

Did you know Kendall is married to Lucas, and I too will marry a Lucas? It makes for fun conversation as we continue to say “my lucas” or “your lucas”.

Did you know Kendall has a pet, an English Bulldog named T-bone? It was her wedding gift to “her Lucas” when they were married in October of 2006.

                                        Just thought you’d like to know!

A Birthday Story

Last Saturday I had three different families come to the studio. Two of them were repeat clients, and one of them a new family.

When the first family arrived we got on the topic of birthdays. One of the girls, Ella, is having a birthday on Good Friday this year(March 21st), coincidentally the day before my wedding(March 22), so we talked about how it was a special day for the both of us.

Then our second family came in, I was unsure how old the child was, I assumed he was one(ish). Tonya (mom) reassured me that No, Darain doesn’t turn one until , Next Friday, March 21st! Wow I thought how cool, and seriously what’s the chance…..but wait it gets better!

Our afternoon family strolled with anticipation, having never been to Barnett Portrait Studio before. Kendall had mention one of the children has a birthday soon, so I should ask when. To my surprise there were two birthdays in the family coming up and YES, you guess it one of them(Alex) will be having  a birthday on March 21st!

Pretty exciting! Three different families, three different kids, all with the same birthday came to the studio on the same day! Here are a few other portraits from their sessions! We Wish you a HAPPY HAPPY birthday, and we will be seeing you real soon!
