One of my favorite sessions types to do is what we call the “Buddy Session” Recently these three ladies came in to hang out and have fun. Courtney, Ashley and Sara met in high school and were home from college on winter break! I used some of the misc things they wore in the studio, for example the winter boots! (which they called there “Ugh Boots”) Here are a few examples from the session!

I enjoyed Telling Your Wedding Story on December 28th, 2007
Their story began years ago when they met here in Mankato. Kaili was working at Barnett Photo when they met. Mike is a member of the national Guard and served a tour in Iraq recently. Prior to his deployment the couple had a civil service to declare their commitment to each other. While they were apart they planned a formal wedding for this past August. Due to the extended deployment of Mike and many minnesota guard members, plans were put on hold and then changed to December 28. (two years after they were previously married) It was a blessing to be a part of such a special event. The day was a pretty winter day, and the bride was beautiful. These are some of my favorite images from the day!
I know I mentioned Gift Certificates Earlier…..but now I have a sample of them for you to see how they look! We had them printed back to back and they look classy! I’m excited! Well back to work I go

REMAKE REMODEL REPAINT REDO….and almost RE….DONE
We have been busy this week repainting, carpet cleaning, building new storage units for the studio, counting inventory, and brain storming what our year ahead will have in store.
I photographed the progress, and plan to post the pics when it’s all done. I knew going into it that
it was going to be a project. We decided to put a fresh coat of paint on the studio….hasn’t had one since the building was rebuilt(after the historic fire) 12 years ago….so, it was a project, many rollers, a couple gallon of paints and three brave girls climbing ladders!! The ceilings are 15 feet high which is pretty scary looking down. We are past the half way point though and the place it looking better then ever!
