In memory of

Frank Kingsley Schwantes

My uncle only 54 years old passed away Dec 6th after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his Wife, three sons & three grandchildren, 10 brothers and sisters and his mother.

It has been a tough year for my family as Frank was diagnosed with cancer Jan of 2007. He was a tremendous person, one of my mothers bests friends, a favored uncle, a loving father and husband. He was someone to go to for anything, and laugh with, cheer on the Vikes with, Camp with, Cook with, and play lawn games with. He is a true representation of someone who can love unconditionally, and build up the human spirit, always putting others first. He will be missed. My parents camped with Frank and his wife many times during the year, I was blessed with many great times. Franks’ eldest son is also a brother to me. It’s going to be a tough time for all of us.

Please pray for the family and keep us in your hearts as we struggle with a loss of a friend

I can’t tell you how much fun I have making children laugh and smile! Thank you for the smiles guys! You’re are all too precious for words!

CHRISTMAS PROGRAMS….

                       So here’s a confession from my childhood(or my entire life), I wanted to act, a lot, all the time. Ya know in those cute little programs your choir puts on, or your church, or in front of your entire school. BUT…..I couldn’t sing, still can’t. And all the speaking/acting parts went to the kids who could sing, the ones with talent ya know. So I went home a lot and prayed to have a voice…not even so I could sing, but so I could act. There’s something about pretending to be someone else that just makes me excited.

                       Then there was Hosanna Lutheran Church, I got connected to them about 4 years ago, a place connected to much bigger things then myself….and the people there have encouraged me to act from the beginning. I had no idea if I even knew how, I just knew I wanted to. A group of “actors” have come together to create the “spot team” (a drama ministry for the church). It’s been a blessing beyond words, and it’s creation led to my first speaking part in a Christmas program…..and an answer to a long time prayer.
                    As silly as it’s sounds, it’s been something I’ve always wanted to do, and now here we are all ready to preform tonight the first of four Christmas Cantata’s.
