Meet the Olsens…..

Thanks to the awesome weather on this past Saturday we were able to go out doors. We took the Olsen family (from the twin cities area) to Seven Mile Park, which is about 10 minutes out of Mankato. The park was stirring with all sorts of people cooking, playing, walking and enjoying the great outdoors. As we drove away the Olsen’s themselves got in a quick game of football. This was the families first trip to the studio, and we had a great time. Everyone was laughing and stress-free! It was hard to pick my favorites, so check out the slide show to see all the portraits we took…..! Thank you Olsen family! See you soon!

Our Staff Holiday Card….

These are all of the cool people who work for Barnett Photo Inc. today. Brian is the dude in the middle and he is the general manager of the Photo Lab, with his staff of Kandi, Jackie, Mary and Danie. I (Sherry) manage the Portrait Studio and Kendall works full time for the Studio. We all work together to accomplish many tasks this time of year…including getting this holiday card out in the mail! It’s been too long since we’ve sent one out! So look for them in your mailboxes soon!

This past week has been filed with outdoor sessions. This was one of the many families we were blessed to work with! They are a very active family and wanted something out door involving them playing together and laughing too! Where did the weekend go?

We had a perfect day Saturday for location photography, which was a huge relief for us, we had a full day of out door photography planned and it was carried out with out any hiccups. Well, they might have been one. I’m known for loosing things, and during a session at Minneopa Falls I set down my Gary Fong’s Lightsphere(which to you non photographers I use almost everyday) and didn’t notice it was gone till 3 hours later when I went to get it out of my camera bag.

LUCKILY…i retraced my steps at the end of the day and yeah it’s back in our hands again! Phew…..

I’m at the studio right now, just downloading all the work from Friday and Saturday and getting it ready for the lab!

This week is the start of our annual MOPS Fund-raiser, which is a great event for us every year! So I am trying to get a few things done to get ahead!

                     This week I’ve been focused on trying to do better profiles….besides all the normal jazz we do, just a mini self assignment I’ve been trying. It’s a pose I don’t use often, but I am doing my research on it and trying it out.
