Twice the Blessings…..
I’ve been blessed lately with many materity sessions. It’s a fairly new area to me, but each session I discover new ways to present such a beautiful time in a person’s life. Meet Katie and Josh, they are expecting soon, and they are expecting twice the blessings. They recently found out they are having twin girls! The Engagement Story
It’s been 6 weeks since Luke has asked me to marry him, and until now I have failed to disclose any more details, having been asked to…and the fact that it is technically “work related” here’s the story….
It’s a Saturday morning, one that I must have had at least 15-20 family portrait sessions to take that day and I was trying to get to work early. So I pulled up to Barnett Portrait Studio with a gallon of milk and a box of cereal. Low and behold someone was sitting on the steps of the business waiting for the studio to open. At first glance I thought it was a stranger and got a bit nervous, but as I approached I saw it was Luke. At this moment I thought nothing of it. Luke often greets me at work or meets me after work, or meets me for lunch, all while being the sweetness that he is. So when he started listing the great qualities we have in each other I was clueless. (note I am holding my camera bag in one hand and my breakfast in the other). Then Luke went on to remind me it was a year previous that we started dating right here at that very spot, and mentioned he had something for me. Then ding ding the light comes on, so I asked him if I was about to cry, and he said maybe. So thinking quickly i set the breakfast cereal on the curb along with the milk. Then he got down on one knee right there on the edge of the street and ask me to marry him…..and I said Yes.
Wedding Plans…are still very much in the making but we have picked Saturday, March 22nd of 2008 as the wedding date! The ceremony will be in Mankato at Hosanna Lutheran Church with a reception to follow.

I have not even finished looking at all of her images, in fact we have not even went outside for that part of her session yet, but she rocks and I just wanted to give you a sneak peak. …..one of my favorites…so far.
Today was super duper busy in the studio. I wish I could put everyone that I photograph on this site, buit for now, for the busy-ness that is, I have to pick and choose and that’s that! All the best!
Now Presenting “Sherry’s Brag Book”
Meet Cody Lyle…..The newest member of my family. He was born to my cousin Heather and her husband Tony two weeks ago this Friday. These are some images from his “One Week Old” photo session. Heather is one of my closest cousins, we were born five days apart and have many great memories together. It’s been very exciting to watch her go through her first pregnancy and become a mother. Congrats Heather and Tony I am so proud of you, and Cody…Welcome to the world!
MEET STACIA,
She is from a small school about 45 mins from Mankato. Her older sister came here two years ago and now it was her turn to have her senior portraits taken. We went out to the state park, Minneopa Falls, and enjoyed some of the beautiful day we were given. It was the first time Stacia and her mom had been to the park, and it was a great day to be there.
