Inspired Portrait Photography

So it is a Saturday, I work almost every one, but don’t mind a bit. Kendall and I were working hard today to get ready for our Open house/May Day Sale on Tuesday. We have got refreshments and prizes and a donation box for the Echo food shelf. If yuo have time we are open from 8:30 to 5:00.

We are also having a drawing for “free portrait sessions” for a year. If you can spread the word! see below for more info on it!

A week or so a go, I showed you an slide show of Quinten, he was a sweet little guy to have in the studio. Since then we have entered his portrait in print competition. Also his mother came in a few days ago to place her oder and orded a “MAKING FACES” portrait. This is one of my chances to create, they pick the images (we price out according to how many images the client wants on the collage), in this case she picked 8 favorites, and this is what I came up with!

My new Friend Katie from Souix Falls, got me on the “flourish” train, being that I am not girlie girl in my day to day living, I have shyed away from using girlie stuff in my art, but oh my how they are able to take your card up a notch.

I am enjoying having an assistant sooo much! thank you thank you Kendall! It has giving me a chance to create again, and take my images to the next level.

Here’s a baby card from a recent session. Rachels Mom and I used to work for the same company, but had not seen each other for sometime, what a small world! Congrats Liz and Todd on the birth of your first child! We are excited to see her grow!

Haley likes to blog as well so I took some of her own writings, which are awesome and worked them into the pictures they had taken for thier mom. Have a great day! It hasn’t rained yet today in Mankato, but the clouds have been lingering all day long. We;ve been busy little bees at the studio. Kendall and I returned last Thursday after attending the annual Northern Light Convention in Alexandria Minnesota. We attended many classes, enjoyed print competition and celebrated hard work with friends and many many talented photographers. I can’t tell you guys enough how fortunate I am to work in this carear.
