The many things you do for me, to complete my everydayness, I’ve found I struggle without you. My wrapped up little right handed pointer finger, forced to be straight, untouched, and dry has put a new twist on my routine….
Turning on the light switch, starting the car, turning any keys to anything, using the can opener to get my lunch on the stove, using a pot holder to get my lunch back off, shaving, and such, gripping in general….
Lifting boxes to help my cousin move, shoveling the wispy snow, wearing gloves, holding a fork; a book; a cell phone….
Working as a photographer, the shutter release, the hauling of equipment, the movement of a computer mouse, the packaging of completed orders, writing a check, the accurate editing of anything photoshop….
Washing the dishes, packing my boxes to move, cleaning the house, folding the laundry, folding my hands…
So cheers to you little finger who is screaming at me as I struggle to type and keep it straight and un used, you deserve more then a simple ode, you are certainly #1!

All things I took for granted until last Thursday when there was an incident with a dog, a portrait session, an urgent care visit and my hand. My finger has been wrapped up straight since thursday night, which has surfaced many hardships I would face with out one of the ten fingers I now value more then ever.
It has however created a one of a kind story, at a point in my life when I needed a greater power to slow me down.
